Rob Halligan's Projects

People who meet me in one context often have trouble understanding what else I do. This site is where I gather my various projects together to show a more global view.

Recently, some of my work has been through several DC consulting firms catering to non-profits. I've recently been on one project where I was a Business Analyst and two where I'm a Project Manager. I'm doing consulting independently, as well. I've successfully transitioned out of most of my District of Columbia activism.

With that transition complete, I'm pretty happy if things continue like this. Alternatively, I’d like to run a small non-profit or be a director at a large one. If either were technology-oriented, that would be a bonus. Becoming a COO at a firm whose processes and systems need a major overhaul would be an interest and a good fit as well.

Having run a manufacturing company and had some real estate ventures in California in the 90's, travelled for 3 years, and then having helped run a technology incubator in the early internet days, the future could take me in many directions.

Much of my studying these days - therefore my most freshly-developed-skill - is in productivity software, Web 2.0, software platforms, web platforms, CMSs, transparency, collaboration, feed mashing, nearshoring, crowdsourcing, and smartsourcing.
